Tunnel WireGuard UDP tunnel traffic over TCP using socat

Prerequisites

  • Install WireGuard on server and client
  • Adjust WireGuard interface to use smaller MTU=1280
  • Running WireGuard server

Features

  • Stable – restarts on disconnect
  • Few dependencies – just bash and socat

Usage

  • On the WireGuard CLIENT
    • Edit REMOTE_IP on the client system
    • Start the tunnel-wireguard-udp2tcp-client.sh
  • On your WireGuard SERVER
    • Make sure WireGuard server is running
    • Start “nohup tunnel-wireguard-udp2tcp-server.sh”
